The staff, administration, and Dr Phillips are exceptional. With health care for seniors (in my opinion, waning) Southern Oregon Orthopedic is without peer. Friendly, courteous and genuinely concerned about the patient. Better care is not available!

Dr Philips is a very compassionate and considerate person. I would recommend him to anyone who needs an orthopedic surgeon for shoulder or knee issues. So far he has helped me avoid surgery on my knee for which I am very grateful!

I did have problems with his medical assistant Danielle however, it took her several days to get back to me if I had a question or a problem. She also neglected to tell him about a trip to the emergency room I had to take after my surgery , I was not happy about that. Dr Phillips told me he had not heard about it , I feel as my surgeon he should have been informed about that. Joy Runner 6/1/23

Great team lead by Dr. Phillips, surgeon. You don't always know you are going to find until you get in there. Knees are bad enough, try hand surgery, not that I've had anything but carpal tunnel, but I've heard complaints, but finally I realized, especially given the older patients and given the complexity and aged tendons and muscles, sometimes it takes a second surgery. Be glad someone is willing to take the risk. Dr Phillips understand that it's better to stay ahead of a condition before it's unbearable and you can still function to get exercise and be in good condition before the surgery and recovery time. Dr. Phillips has been very attentive to my care. He repaired torn meniscus on my right knee. He has also treated my shoulders, he is patient, makes clarifications and answered my questions.

Operation didn't go as well as expected. Hard to get Dr Phillips to come see me in the hospital. It's been 5 weeks and I'm only doing okay and still haven't seen him.

very dissatisfied with my recent visit. I feel he did not assess my new knee joint properly, he did not touch the leg, nor did he check the muscle strength of the knee joint and leg. His demeanor has changed over the last few months. He didnt give me credit for the progress I have made in the last 3 months. My first knee replacement I was given a positive note of "Job well done". This time he just said "If you have problems let us know." I hope he improves his attitude in the future.

Im not use to the new way doctors evaluate patients. Never once did he touch my knee to see if it had any adverse reactions to his multiplication of the joint. He only asked questions as to how it was feeling. I guess this is the new way its done.
