For the first time in years I'm feeling optimistic regarding reducing or eliminating my chronic neck and lower back pain. I appreciate Dr Behrend for having clear plans for pain management, and a positive attitude that say “I got this.”

Had been in serious pain for many years went to countless back DRs that just wanted to give me pills to cover up the pain. Finally found DR. Behrend he was willing to try surgery to actually fix the problem. I still have some pain but i have not taken pain pills since about a month after surgery. That was 4 months ago. Even my worst days don’t require a pain pill now.

Really seemed to care about getting back to a "normal" pain free state. He listened to me and my concerns about pain management.

Had an appointment with him today and he decided to give me to his assistant instead. That made me felt uncared for. I already saw her my last appointment. This appointment was supposed to be with him to go over scan results. I just feel like I’m being pushed under the rug here. I’m thinking of changing providers.

Very courteous and sincere, listened intently to my condition asking all the right questions for diagnosis.

I was a 1/2 an hour early for my appointment and the doctor made me wait an additional hour before being seen total one and a 1/2 hours to see the doctor who sat in the office and chatted with the practice manager. Also, I was told that they were cleaning the room and there was nothing to clean there was no tissue paper on the bed medical assistant put me in the room and close the door no measurements were taken

I appreciated his clarification when I didn't understand something all the way and did not make me feel any less for not having the same knowledge that he does. I also appreciated that he is in it for the long haul and not just temporarily fixing the problem. He is very personable, realistic, honest, and caring. I will use him time and again.

No idea how long I waited after I was put in the exam room, but it was close to 45 minutes. My time is important also.

Have seen him twice and will be having DLIF surgery with him. Wife just had MILD surgery with him. Really appreciate his calm, friendly and positive demeanor. Looks at alternatives before considering surgery. Feel very confident with him. All of his office staff is also excellent.

Dr Behrend always takes the time to listen to his patients and makes sure he answers all their questions. It never feels like I am being rushed in and out like some other doctors.

Loved the surgeon and staff… however their billing process is horrid and the Forced prepayment of whatever you have left on your deductible at that moment…. 2-3 weeks prior to surgery or your surgery tech will cancel surgery is causing your clients harm. Your billing department is not able to produce a bill or invoice to submit to insurance company so they decide what they will collect from your deductible without knowing where your bill will actually end up in the insurance line and causes other bills to be unpaid and yours to go in front of all others and then your client has to stay on top of your billing staff and the insurance company to find out when you are actually paid and how much of a refund your people need to return and then all the other bills can be paid once the refund is made. This is a mess and causes undo stress and work for your clients. Very sad!!!

The doctor was nice, but couldn't really do anything because he had the wrong Imaging. Waited six weeks for this appointment, then another two weeks before someone called me for Imaging. Now it will be another six weeks before I can get back to see the doctor.

I had 4 surgery’s by a Nero doctor then someone told me to try Dr Behrend. He fused my L4 L5 area and I have never felt better I have no more back pain

Excellent diagnosis and repair. Cannot day enough about the pain I was experiencing prior to surgery and after. No comparison. Could barely walk with a stick, not able to bend over, barely able to squat down and get up. Now walking 5 miles per day 5 or 6 days a week, golf around 10 times in the last three months with almost no pain. Two Tylenol in the morning and on my way!

Dr Behrend is the best spine Dr I have ever worked with. I have never experienced any other surgeon that has a true caring and understanding of the individual. Dr Behrend operated on my back in 2019, , he and his PA were very thorough in explaining the surgery, the out come, the after care. The genuinely care for the patient. Dr Behrend stopped by the hospital to check on me in the hospital the first night. First class care, I am planning a second surgery on a different area, and he is the first professional I went to.

Dr. Behrend is incredibly knowledgeable, thorough and also very personable. I felt like he was truly concerned with helping resolve my back pain. He took the time to answer all my questions and didn't rush through everything to get to the next patient. Highly recommend.

Dr Behrend makes me feel important. He is concerned about my condition and doesn't try sugar coating my diagnoses. I appreciate his honesty and telling it like it is attitude. Wanting me to get a second opinion, before having a major surgery, makes me realize how much I need to understand the whole picture (doing research and asking lots of questions).

Dr. Behrend takes all the time that is needed to adequately explain all options and procedures and answer any and all questions. He is very nice and I would highly recommend him!

Dr. Behrend is dedicated to his patients and truly cares about the pain they are experiencing. He tries to get to the root cause of the pain so that you can enjoy your life. He doesn’t just give up on you after your surgery is done if you’re still going through pain or not healing well like some doctors tend to do. Seemed experienced and confident. I felt I didn't need to be there. Only a cursory examination and was concerned with my concerns

First time seeing this Dr it took 4 hours. It was 3 hrs to get into the back room and then another 45 min before the Dr came in. He was in there at most 10 min and we were out of there. The second time at a different location I waited 1 hr in the waiting room and another 45-50 min in the exam room. Again, the Dr was in there at most 5 min!! When people are in a tremendous amount of pain, this is a ridiculous amount of time to have to wait to get in to see a Dr! No complaints about the Dr himself

I am SOOO upset that I was passed on to his PA today, instead of him. After spending nearly a week in bed in excruciating pain and unable to walk, it would have been nice to have spoken to him. His PA was nice, but after what I went through which was THE MOST HORRID PAIN IMAGINABLE, I expected and deserved to see him. Only after speaking to the PA for 40 min was I asked if I wanted to see Dr. Behrend... REALLY? Tell my story AGAIN?

Had a serious back operation, and he was great. Very nice man, as well. I've recommended him to several since my operation.

We had a 3 pm appt. we walked out without seeing any doctor at 4:45. We arrived at 2:30 as requested. This was appalling. The staff x-rayed my sons lower back and then realized the appt was for his neck and upper back so they had to redo the xrays. I
