PERSONAL INTERESTS Dr. O’Shea went to college on an academic/athletic scholarship, and she played semi-pro beach volleyball after college. Prior to embarking on a career in medicine, Dr. O’Shea was a mathematician who worked on a variety of projects from laser radar to the Air Combat Training System. While working full-time as a mathematician, she completed three Masters’ Degrees (Mathematics, Management, and International Relations with an emphasis in Political Economics) and was an adjunct professor in the Mathematics Departments at Troy State University – Florida Region and Okaloosa Walton Community College which later became Northwest Florida State College. Her favorite aircraft is the A-10, and her favorite ground vehicle is the ZSU-23-4. In her free time, Dr. O’Shea enjoys biking, hiking, working out, cooking, reading, traveling, and college football (Roll Tide!).
