Pre-op appts were great, to the point, and questions were answered. Surgery was so smooth and uneventful. Post op— I was anticipating pain but never had any that even came close to what I had anticipated. The aches were well managed with extremely little narcotic pain meds. Highly recommend Dr. Blackwood for total knee replacement surgery! Thank you!

I am preparing for hip replacement surgery. I did a great deal of research and settled on Dr Blackwood. Everyone in his office, his entire support staff all the medical personnel I’ve worked with are excellent. I don’t feel rushed during an appointment. All of my questions are answered thoroughly. This is a caring and professional team.

Dr. Blackwood was truly a breath of fresh air as he listened to my issues and ask for clarity on a couple of my statements. He explained my problems as he directed my attention to my x-rays. Explained what he needed to examine on my body and apologized for any discomfort I may experience as he examined me. He is a very pleasant and assuring person.

My PCP recommended him and I had researched him before that so felt good we both agreed on the same surgeon. I have tried faithfully everything recommended to do the past 7 yrs to postpone knee replacements. And I’m ready to have it done and feel good that Dr. Blackwood is the one. Will report back.
