This assessment is based on the initial consult after injuring my left knee. He was very dismissive. Gave me no opportunity to ask any questions. He made me feel like I was interrupting his day.

He listens carefully to patients and then delivers his assessment clearly in non-technical language, offering options that fit his patient’s life. Both my husband and I trust him explicitly with our orthopedic health.

Enjoyed my experience with Dr Blackwood. Very Curtiss but a little strict, (a good strict). He did full knee replacement in 2016 with excellent results. Just had a partial on the other knee with excellent results. I might add that after third day, still no maker pain. Could walk easily. Very good surgeon. If I had another bad knee would definitely have Dr Blackwood do it.
