Dr. Bryce Fugarino, MD is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in orthopedic hand, wrist, and elbow surgery. He is a member of the Louisiana Orthopaedic Association and the American Academy for Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Fugarino is a Louisiana native, growing up in Hammond, and chose Louisiana Orthopaedic Specialists because of “their reputation around the state for providing excellent medical care. They have a great quality of character and are great people on top of being excellent physicians.”
Dr. Fugarino joins Louisiana Orthopaedic Specialists after completing his Fellowship in Surgery of the Hand and Upper Extremity at NYU Hospital for Joint Disease. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and went on to gain his medical degree and complete his residency at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. Due to Dr. Fugarino’s time practicing medicine in both Louisiana and New York he passed the intensive medical exams twice to be fully licensed in both states.
Dr. Fugarino is an avid golfer and a fan of Notre Dame and Saints football. Most of his time off is spent with his wife, Jessica, and his two daughters. Dr. Fugarino will be practicing at our Lafayette and New Iberia clinics.

Explained things about my daughter’s break and gave options to treatment. Very pleased:)
I had ask doctor for another injection in both hands and requested the the cooling freeze to be use this time because the nurse practitioner didn't use it last time because she said that I didn't need it he stated yes I will let her know to use it this time so when the nurse practitioner came in the room you can clear see her demeanor was not good she looked upset and she had one of the nurses to come in to help her to spray the cool spray while she was doing my injections but this was DEFINITELY the first time the nurse ever did that task so I understood that it was going all over the place until she finally got it right and she apologized for it and I totally understood her part but the nurse practitioner needs to really show more compassion to the patients because the last visit she definitely didn't care I was screaming loud in the room because of her not using the cool spray when I asked her why she didn't use it she stated the injections already has numbing in it the nurse listen
He’s very easy to talk to and he is an expert in his field. I would definitely recommend him for any wrist/hand problems.
I was very pleased. I didn’t have to wait for anything. I just went in and I was out in probably less than 30 minutes. Great doctor, nurse and very friendly staff.
Dr. Fugarino did a great job helping me decide to go ahead with surgery. I have faith that all will go well and trust his knowledge and professionalism.

Kind, and thoughtful doctor ... waiting an hour after your appointment time before you see him is ridiculous though.
