I just had my first visit with Dr Stamos today, to have him evaluate injuries to both my shoulders. He patiently listened to my history of injuries and pain for both shoulders, then he X-rayed both my shoulders, and then patiently walked me through a very logical treatment plan for both shoulders. He explained why a cortisone shot in the right shoulder joint would be an obvious quick way to reduce inflammation/pain and then gave me two injections which were quick and not much more painful than a needle prick, then he gave me a script for physical therapy for that shoulder. Lastly he explained for my left shoulder the pros and cons of having surgery on that shoulder, and suggested I wait about six months to make that final decision with his help AFTER my right shoulder has been healed. Someone who I consider to be the best Physical Therapist in NJ, named Brian, recommended Dr Stamos to me as the Go To orthopedic surgeon, and after today’s visit with Dr Stamos I know why he did so.
