Dr. Bickelhaupt is really great. She is intelligent & knowledgeable. She takes the time to work out the best treatment & customized care plan based on the individual patient’s needs. She is also compassionate & understanding - she has a kind & wonderful "bedside manner." She truly wants to address the issue at hand & deliver the best options available to the patient. I will continue to see her as recommended.

She had no information about my condition even though I had told the receptionist all the doctor's names times of various appointments and tests that I had 6 weeks prior to making the appointment with Dr Brittany. I was expecting her to be aware of my condition and help guide me on what I can and can't do. It took 6 weeks to get an appt. with her. During my appointment she said she would get all the information for my next appointment which is 4 weeks from today. I felt very frustrated today! It took 3 hours round trip to see Dr Brittany today from where I live and I felt it was a complete waste of my time and money.

Dr. B changed my life for the better. I owe her so much.

Words cannot describe the relief I have gotten from my SI joint ablation. After 6 back surgeries, fusions from L2-S1, I was in more pain than before the surgeries. My original surgeon now recommending a Si joint fusion. After a recommendation to Dr. Brittany thru a good friend, we agreed on a RFA. Within 2 weeks I was pain free!! No pain meds since, and I was taking morphine daily for pain for the past year. Tears of joy upon my follow up with Dr. Brittany today. I finally can run again and move without any pain!! From the bottom of my heart thank you. I finally have my live back!

During my first appointment, Dr. Bickelhaupt seemed attentive and caring. During today's visit, however, she seemed impersonal, distracted, and closed off to treatment that has proven successful in the past. Perhaps it was the presence of another doctor in the room; maybe she didn't believe my accounts of my pain. In any case, when asked to take over prescribing medication that has been helping me for months, she flat out refused that and all medications like it; her tone and haste of speech left no room for discussion. When we discussed the less-than-desirable outcome of my recent injection, she blew off my account of its nonhelpfulness and had nothing to say of alternative treatments. We did discuss - and agree on - further physical therapy being beneficial for me, but I've clearly communicated my worst pain being non-muscular; this is why I came to Bone and Joint, to resume treatment that will address the pain that has taken my life from me. Now I am frustrated and in pain.

Dr. Bickelhaupt listened attentively and gave complete and thorough answers to all my questions. She also offered good suggestions. I definitely would use her again and recommend her to other people.

We just met for the very first time but I will say I could tell that she had gone over by previous history and new what type of issues I have that she had to deal with and I'm proceeding with her for a steroid injection that will hopefully reduce some of the pain so that we can proceed with a plan to address my spinal pinched nerve
