Came in cold without looking at why I was there and what tests were already run. Only knew of Echo results with seemingly no knowledge of why I was there or of an another disease that I have that could be pertinent. Suggested we do two things that were completed a few months ago.

Excellent knowledge base and thorough exam. This was my first visit with Dr. Winston but I sensed a bit of annoyance with my concerns over my appointment having been rescheduled three times which would have resulted in nine months beyond my required physical. Of a lesser concern but one I asked of him, to inform the appropriate personnel of the very inferior answering services; I asked for a return call re: difficulty in getting a change in my prescription due to the pharmacy’s unwillingness, only to receive a call back from Capital Cardiology advising me Dr. Healy stated it was ok to use Rogaine! Thanks for this opportunity to share my experience as managed health care is rapidly moving away from patient care and patient-doctor relationships. I felt confident under Dr. Healy’s care and think I will find the same confidence in Dr. Winston.

Consult apt. Was less than 10 min as a new patient. 2nd appt for test results was less than 10 min. Just read off of the papers and said see you in 3 months. I drive 1hour 20min for 10 minutes of his time. He just does not seem interested or concerned. Really doesn't answer any questions or let you ask any.

Jun-2024
Polite but I saw him for less than 5 minutes and it felt like he was just stopping in to tell me the tests that he was going to order, not even sure if those tests are needed. Just felt rushed and not even truly heard/seen but like a piece on a conveyer belt. I appreciated the timeliness but if it is at the expense of real doctor patient interaction I don’t know if it is worth it. I am hoping at our follow up that we will have more time to discuss my questions.
