Dr. Brian Keener, a native of Maryland, received his undergraduate degree from Eastern Mennonite University in Virginia. He then went on to the Pennsylvania State University School of Medicine in Hershey for his M.D. degree. After completing his orthopedic surgery residency at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Dr. Keener completed his fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery at the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases.
A board-certified orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Keener is a member of the Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society as well as the Mennonite Medical Association.

Dr. Keener has a great bed side manor and personality. He is one helluva surgeon highly recommended this guy ;-)
Very good. Spending a just bit more time explaining things would be a 5.
He could be a little more understanding with his patience’s and show them that he cares and appreciates their business. I can’t think of any of my doctors that when they’re finished with my appointmen,just leave and never say anything like have a great day or take care or merry Christmas or whatever! I’m even on a hugging basis with some of my doctors because they’re so sweet and caring! He seems too cold and always in a hurry…..

Dr. Keener was excellent. I found out right after the appointment that I needed the tavr procedure for my heart so I did not proceed with hand. Hope he understands.
Always thoughtful and courteous. Listens well, clarifies information to provide a well informed conversation.
He explained everything in easily understood ways and gave many options, allowing me to decide what was best in my situation.
I really like this young man, he’s very sweet and makes you feel very comfortable not to mention a good surgeon😊
