Dr. Brian Keener, a native of Maryland, received his undergraduate degree from Eastern Mennonite University in Virginia. He then went on to the Pennsylvania State University School of Medicine in Hershey for his M.D. degree. After completing his orthopedic surgery residency at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Dr. Keener completed his fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery at the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases.
A board-certified orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Keener is a member of the Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society as well as the Mennonite Medical Association.

Dr. Keeper is always a pleasure to see. He is very conscience and answers any questions relying to your situation. I appreciate that he also will discuss what options are available.
Dr Keener listened, then thoroughly explained options. I was asked which path I felt comfortable starting with and I left with what I needed to relieve pain as well as a plan. This was refreshing and appreciated. The staff was lovely and warm. A very positive visit and I would recommend the practice.

Dr. Keener saw me in his office and explained to me what was going on with my thumb. He gave me several options regarding what could be done to try and correct it and then he asked me what I wanted to do. I decided to take the time to allow it to heal on its own, knowing there were other options in the future.
