Personable, caring, great listening skills with good eye contact. Speaks a "common man's/woman's language when describing diagnosis and treatment. Conservative approach to treatment. Very well-educated and knowledgeable in his specialty as well as other medical arenas.

Dr. Gilmer is professional, listens to his patients, and takes extra time to make sure that you have everything you need. Great experience and I hope that if I have any future issues, he will be the one to operate! Thanks again

I am at the start of the process after my skiing injury and feel like I am in the best hands possible with Dr. Gilmer. So grateful he was assigned to me! Really impressed with everything so far and am feeling at ease.

I’m a little skeptical of some doctors evaluations. I think he was able to provide an accurate assessment of my knee problem and provided me with a path to self recovery.

The impression was he just wanted to sell surgery to enrich Swift and ignored all the other four doctor separate different diagnosis. Indicating no one understands what the problem really is. Tired to make a conparison to someone else's condition but there were actually many different reasons why it was not the same.

I was very comfortable with Dr.Gilmer and confident of his ability as a surgeon. He has excellent bedside manner and explanations of the surgery he performed. I am very happy with his care!

In my opinion, Dr. Gilmer is one of the most talented surgeons for his specialty. I had both rotator cuffs and bicep tendons repaired by him and I healed very quickly. Now everything works the way it should with no pain. He explains everything very well and is easy to talk to. I highly recommend him.

Took care of my needs right away

I asked Dr. Gilmer for what's what for a 66-year-old (and aging) arthritic-alpinist orthopaedic-basket-case, and he gave me his straight assessment.

Really a much better experience than I've had with other orthopedists. Spent a lot of time explaining my condition and answered all of my questions. I believe Dr. Gilmer does an excellent job both before and after surgery with following up.
