Dr. Brian Carter specializes in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He holds a B.S. degree in Biology from Florida State University and received an M.D. degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine. Dr. Carter completed his residency in Physical Medicine at the University of Virginia where he served as chief resident, then joined the Non-Surgical Orthopaedic and Spine Center in Marietta, Georgia.
Dr. Carter specializes in the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of soft tissue, neuromuscular and musculoskeletal disorders including neck and back pain, sciatica, disc herniation, spondylosis, shoulder and knee pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis, sports injuries, workers comp injuries and general rehabilitation. He performs Independent Medical Evaluations and Permanent Partial Impairment Evaluations. He received specialized training in the performance of EMGs, nerve conduction studies and spinal injections.
Dr. Carter is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine. He is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Carter serves as the current TOC Physical Therapy Medical Director.

Dr. Carter was great. I really like him. He came into the room speaking and asking how I was doing; he also shook my hand. He was very personable, he joked, laughed, and was just very friendly. He listened to whatever I had to say, he asked questions, and he examined me. I love his initial treatment. He wasn’t so quick to have me get unnecessary imaging or shots without trying something more mild. I believe that I’ll be pleased with him.
