Dr. Brian Carter specializes in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He holds a B.S. degree in Biology from Florida State University and received an M.D. degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine. Dr. Carter completed his residency in Physical Medicine at the University of Virginia where he served as chief resident, then joined the Non-Surgical Orthopaedic and Spine Center in Marietta, Georgia.
Dr. Carter specializes in the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of soft tissue, neuromuscular and musculoskeletal disorders including neck and back pain, sciatica, disc herniation, spondylosis, shoulder and knee pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis, sports injuries, workers comp injuries and general rehabilitation. He performs Independent Medical Evaluations and Permanent Partial Impairment Evaluations. He received specialized training in the performance of EMGs, nerve conduction studies and spinal injections.
Dr. Carter is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine. He is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Carter serves as the current TOC Physical Therapy Medical Director.

I witnessed Dr. Carter assisting a patient in the waiting area today, who appeared to have been in distress. He was so patient and compassionate with this middle-aged female.
Excellent visit! Told me what I needed to do for my back/hip pain!
Dr. Carter has done amazing things for my back. I don't know where I would be without him. I highly recommend him if you have any low back problems.

Mr Carter is amazing! He always does the very best job on my procedure and I go from a pain scale score of 7 or 8 to a ZERO for about 2 mths. We're trying to avoid surgery and Dr Carter has been my biggest advocate for exploring all options to make that happen. And has successfully kept me comfortable for around a year and I anticipate that to continue due to the success rate for me. I couldn't be more thankful to have a doctor that truly cares and is amazing at his expertise! 5 GOLD STARS from me!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟♥️
