Even being an hour behind today, he still had time to apologize for the lateness. His companion for his patients are undeniable true. He makes me feel so much better with his understanding.

Dr bear is kind and compassionate but really needs to work on time management waiting 1-2 hrs for 5 min with dr and this is not the first time and still no resolution very disappointing

Was great when I saw a PA before surgery for my carpal tunnel. Regularly has over an hour wait. Does not give all the notes. You have to read them later in your chart. I wish his schedule would delegate or space out appointments more. Recent experiences were so rushed I barely had time to ask questions.

I saw Dr. Bear’s NP, NOT Dr. Bear. Otherwise I would give five stars in response to the text. The NP was excellent. She listened to me, explained everything she did, and answered my questions in a very professional manner. With one exception, over the years I have been impressed with everyone at OrthoIllinois. That one visit I felt invisible as the doctor focused on the medical students rather than the patient. I left not knowing my diagnosis.

Appt was at 215pm finally got to see doctor 2 hours later. he rushed thru exam and ordered a MRI. Never got to get a true diagnosis or ask questions

I think Dr Bear did a good job assessing my condition, however, after reading the side affects of the prescription I was given, I am not comfortable taking the prescription. My recommendation is to advise on natural remedies prior to prescribing medication with potential side affects.

As a doctor he's the best but i had a procedure done and 1st post op apt i only saw a nurse so had to go back. I specifically said i want to see dr bear. If i Can't then reschedule for when i can. Se made apt. I told if i don' see him I'm leaving and will come back when i can. I arrived, checked in. Verified I'm actually seeing dr bear. Yes you will be. I figured its (2nd) post op, i should see dr. I wait and in comes PA. Ok so he will pop in at the end. LA says om all done. I asked if see dr bear. He's really busy. It will be a while if you want to stay. I told i made apt with the Dr and for post op i should see the dr even if a minute. He said it will be a while. I left went to appointment person. Told i specifically said want to see dr bear. She said we can put in for next time. I said this is the next time. I think they have grown to big they care more about quantity of patients and not quality of care or at least seeing the patient when specifically request to see them.

He is a very good doctor. I appreciate his expertise.

Actually, Dr Bear is a brilliant surgeon who has done surgery on my hand and I would want him for any further surgery, but he is too quick in the examining room. He seems to want to be in and out. I want my situation to be explained so I understand it. I know he is like that and kept asking my questions. He needs to slow down and take time to explain things to each patient. If it were not for that I would give him 5 stars. I want a good surgeon, but bedside manor counts too.

Still have not been scheduled for my emgs. I was told I would be contacted so called after one and a half days One day later after I called I still have not been contacted. Today is 3 days from my appointment

Dr. Bear is excellent. Five stars!!! My only complaint is with scheduling. You ask for appointment with Dr. Bear specifically and you see his PA. They surely are competent but when you specifically told scheduler you wanted to see Dr Bear and you don’t , it’s disappointing. It’s awkward to bring this up at my appointment. This has happened to me several times.

I was disappointed that I did not see Dr. bear. I made an appointment with him and saw his assistant. I was happy with the assistant but felt that I should have seen Dr. bear at the beginning or at the end of my appointment. I am supposed to come back in six weeks. I hope I will see him then. I am hoping that his assistant consulted him regarding the Cortizone shot I got and that he felt it was the correct protocol.

I have multiple appointments with doctor bear. There is ALWAYS a 40-60 min behind period on top of the additional wait. Then he was not the doc that saw me. A PA saw me. This would be fine if the PA didn’t say he was going to do something and then after talking with Dr Bear in the back, he would come back saying something else. If I did get to see Dr Bear it would be an additional 20-30 min after the PA saw me. I am very frustrated with the care I have gotten.
