Dr. Schiffman has advanced training in hand and microsurgery with expertise in upper extremity trauma and complex fractures, work and sports-related injuries, degenerative and arthritic conditions, as well as nerve and vascular conditions. He has published on topics including complex elbow and forearm trauma, elbow instability, elbow MRI utilization, bone healing, and vitamin D metabolism. He has previously been the team physician for Palatine High School varsity football in Illinois.
