Brett Compton, O.D.

Dr. Brett Compton joined Eye Physicians of Southwest Virginia in 2008. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Virginia's College at Wise in 2002. He graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2006 with a Doctorate of Optometry. He completed internships at the Salem Veterans Hospital and The Eye Institute in Philadelphia, where he received clinical honors in pediatric eye care. Dr. Compton is a member of the Virginia Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. He is a native of Dickenson County and specializes in primary eye care, pediatric eye care, contact lenses and treatment of ocular disease. He is licensed in Virginia and sees patients in our Abingdon office. Outside of work, Dr. Compton is interested in rare books and publications, especially those regarding the history of Southwest Virginia. He is married with two small children.
