Dr. Brent Overton is a board-certified doctor with special interests in treating the hip, knee, and shoulder as well as spine microsurgery and joint replacement surgery.
A native of Traer, Iowa, Dr. Overton received his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering and his Doctor of Medicine degree from The University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. He then completed residency training at Akron General Medical Center in Akron, Ohio.
When he's not seeing patients, Dr. Overton enjoys spending time with his wife and children and following the University of Iowa Hawkeyes.

Very thorough. To the point and listened to me. I felt as though he cared about my situation
Dr. Overton did a great job explaining what to expect after my TKR. He made me feel comfortable and prepared me for my surgery.
I waited an hour and 5 minutes past my appointment time, to only see the provider 5 minutes. :(
He's a great doctor. He takes the time to listen to his patients and I feel he really cares about their well-being.
