Dr. Brent Overton is a board-certified doctor with special interests in treating the hip, knee, and shoulder as well as spine microsurgery and joint replacement surgery.
A native of Traer, Iowa, Dr. Overton received his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering and his Doctor of Medicine degree from The University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. He then completed residency training at Akron General Medical Center in Akron, Ohio.
When he's not seeing patients, Dr. Overton enjoys spending time with his wife and children and following the University of Iowa Hawkeyes.

Very friendly and thorough. Dr. Overton listened to all of my concerns and answered my questions.
He listens. I am grateful for Dr Overton. Answers questions gets to the gently. He did both of my knees with wonderful outcomes with each. No pain amazed at how wonderful the new knees are. He is doing my hip and I can't wait.
Dr. O is a very good listener. He is personable and sincere. And he is a very good surgeon. He has a sound knowledge base.

Absolutely Great Doctor... I really like him.. He did a fantastic job.. Looks like scarring will be minimal! I will recommend him to anyone thinking about joint replacement!
