Dr. Brent C. Norman, M.D. graduated summa cum laude from the University of Southwestern Louisiana. He moved on to receive his medical degree from Tulane University Medical School where he graduated as valedictorian of his class. Dr. Norman completed his ophthalmology residency at the Cullen Eye Institute within the Baylor College of Medicine and completed his retina fellowship at the highly esteemed Doheny Eye Institute at the University of Southern California.
He went on to serve as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Medical College of Georgia and shortly thereafter moved back to California where he opened his own private practice. Along with his involvement in multiple research studies, he has also served as ophthalmology chairman at Western Medical Center, Saddleback Hospital, and Hoag Hospital. Amongst his many accomplishments his most regarded is being the first physician in Orange County to utilize silicone oil for complex retinal detachment repair, perfluorocarbon liquids for retinal tears, and radioactive plaques for choroid melanoma.

Dr. Norman successfully repaired my detached retina over 25 years ago. He also repaired a serious problem when a cataract lens was dislodged and felll into my eye. I have been seeing him annually for checkups for 25 years. My vision is good in spite of my problems due to his care. Bill Fletcher
