Dr Lucas is a really good doctor he found something that other doctors didn't and will be performing a surgery for me he's very kind and friendly as is all the people at advanced orthopedics would definitely recommend choosing him as your doctor!

Dr. Lucas is personal yet professional. He gives you options and never is insistent. His PA is my most favorite as she is very thorough but listens well. I have to go to several doctors and PAs and these two stand out by far. You’ll be very happy with these two in your corner!

Dr. Lucas was recommended to us for shoulder specialty in a growing teen. We are so thankful he listened to her about her pain, identified her injury, and knew he could help her. We could not be happier with the surgery and recovery under his care.

It’s such a long wait - one hour at least, after you’ve had the surgery. This happened to us three times. Also he comes off a little arrogant at times.

Wait was unusually long, not sure anyone is getting this knee thing right with me at this point

The nurse was thorough but Dr Lucas didn’t evaluate. I had further questions and concerns and called and no return call yet. Daughter already had 3 years of her shoulder issues. We’ve been to several drs, already PT, chiropractors to figure this out. Our DR sent us to him to get an MRI done o figure out what is going on. He tried to scare my daughter away from getting MRI by telling her involved a needle so she would want to avoid that. My daughters not afraid of needles and just wants her shoulder fixed. I hope to get a return call soon and some help for her.

I thought he was very thorough on my end, he explained everything to me where I could understand what was going on.

If this is the new generation of doctors, I'm not a fan. I spent much more time with PA who was more thorough tho' "speedy". Dr. Lucas seemed to have formed an opinion/approach before he entered the room but did not spend much time explaining it to me. Nor did he do much/any? examination of my issues. He referenced what my x-ray showed but did not show it to me. He didn't seem to focus on helping me understand. He outlined my options but provided little explanation of what I could expect in the future from those options. After the injections were administered, I was given no guidance, no information about next steps, next contacts. When I finally asked who I should go through if I wanted a next shot, I was told to contact my primary care physician. A vague mention was made to the fact that he didn't do knee replacements but that he could recommend a colleague. No knee replacement info was suggested or provided.

Very positive and affable experience. My only requests for next time would be a more complete physical exam directly by practitioner, and assistance understanding more about how my problem is generally non concerning. Often by the time patients see the provider they can be in a forgetful or more clouded headspace after a long wait (but we UNDERSTAND provider is busy, that’s not the issue), and can have difficulty wondering whether the patient and doctor experience are being communicated adequately. Do they meet in the middle for the doctor to understand what patients lived experience has been? At end of visit I would benefit (as someone with poor short term memory at a younger age) a repeat of what is being done, what is waiting, when to follow up, etc. My head can be swimming when at a first visit, with social anxiety, and it helps tremendously. I REALLY appreciated Dr. Lucas and his staff. Very validating and helpful, expedient, great office flow. Thank you!!!

my appointment was for 230pm I got there at 2:15p to make sure I can get any paperwork done and I left at 4:30pm. I wasn't even seen till 4pm and I just feel like that is poor time managment on the staff part. As for Lucas he has been a good surgeon and explains things pretty well.

Dr. Lucas is clearly talented and well-respected. He seems overwhelmed and a bit rushed -- it's in and out and on to the next patient. But if you're prepared with your questions and can think quick on your feet, he'll answer them while he's in the room. Waited an hour after my appointment to get less than 10 minutes of his time. But he's truly knowledgeable and I have complete faith in his abilities.

Dr Lucas is super-knowledgeable. Talks to you like a real person. Doesn't dumb things down to make you feel like an idiot but doesn't use super-fancy jargon to impress (and confuse) you. Very straightforward. I hope to never have to deal with him again but if I have any issues in the future, I would not hesitate to see him.

I have been very satisfied with the care I have received from Dr. Lucas. He has a great "bedside" manner and explains everything very well. I have had both shoulders repaired by him and am doing great. Would refer my friends and family to him definitely.

He was great! He explained the injury, surgery, and healing process to our 15 yr old daughter so that she could understand it. We all left satisfied. Great referral from our doctor!

He was great as a resident. I don't know what changed. He wouldn't get a newer MRI before surgery to see if anything else needed fixed. I signed a consent to try if he found anything else wrong. He didn't look but did something unnecessary to "aid my healing". I had my other shoulder done last year. My results this time have been horrid. I am currently not allowed to go to PT. 3 others doctors have told me that something else is torn based on pain and problems. Looking for a new surgeon n

Dr Lucas has taken care of me for years, did surgery on my shoulder and has helped work up the problems with my knees. He listens and helps trouble shoot and prioritize care needs for multiple orthopedic issues. My husband had surgery with him also. We respect and trust him 100%.

He lays out all my treatment options and respects my choices and rationale. He has helped me with knee pain and prepared me to see Dr Pappademous for possible knee surgery. He is open and available to help. He’s a great surgeon. I have recommended him to family and friends frequently.

Dr. Lucas went above what I expected! The last experience I had with a shoulder specialist wasn't good at all, so I want expecting much. Dr. Lucas is very thorough and sits and explains everything to you in ways that you can understand. He actually treats you like a person and not just a patient! Dr.Lucas did rotator cuff surgery on my shoulder. He was thorough in explaining what he would do. The surgery was a success! Very little pain or scaring. After 6 weeks, I am well on my way to a complete recovery and full range of motion. Fantastic!!

The visit itself was good. The nurse told me that for a "discount" they could mail my prescriptions to me. I told her that it was workman's comp so I would not be paying, but they sent it to their mailing pharmacy anyway. Such incompetence no excuse
