Dr. Breanna Aldred is a comprehensive ophthalmologist whose clinical and surgical practice includes standard and premium cataract surgery, comprehensive eye exams, glaucoma laser treatment, oculoplastic surgery, and intravitreal injections for retinal diseases such as diabetes and macular degeneration. She prides herself on creating individualized treatment plans for each patient—considering their goals and ensuring they are well-educated about their condition and treatment options.
She completed her undergraduate studies in Marine Science and Biology at the University of Miami, graduating summa cum laude. Dr. Aldred earned her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, where she also completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
During residency, she served as Chief Resident and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, recognizing her leadership, professionalism, teaching, and clinical skills. She also earned a UW Global Ophthalmology Certificate for her participation in international outreach programs in the Philippines and India. Dr. Aldred is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Women in Ophthalmology, the Wisconsin Medical Society, and the Wisconsin Academy of Ophthalmology.
Originally from Waukesha, Wisconsin, Dr. Aldred is accepting new patients and is excited to serve the Milwaukee community where she grew up. Outside of the clinic and operating room, she enjoys traveling, scuba diving, attending theater performances, and spending time with her husband, Ben, and their two dogs, Churro and Deja.
