Dr. Brandon Steen is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and elbow surgery.
Dr. Steen currently serves as an orthopaedic surgeon, specializing in shoulder and elbow surgery, at Florida Orthopaedic Associates with privileges at Florida Hospital DeLand and Florida Hospital Fish Memorial. He received sub-specialty training in shoulder and elbow surgery at Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Tampa, Florida where he performed several hundred primary and revision shoulder replacements, reverse shoulder replacements, as well as arthroscopic shoulder and elbow procedures.
Dr. Steen completed his orthopaedic training at Boston University Medical Center, a level I trauma center in downtown Boston, Massachusetts. His training included significant exposure to complex fractures, joint replacement surgery, and arthroscopic surgery. He had a significant interest in basic science research and completed a post-doctoral research fellowship at the Boston University Orthopaedic basic science lab that led to numerous peer reviewed articles on topics ranging from stem cell therapy to treatment of hip fractures. He is an author of three orthopaedic book chapters on treatment of shoulder and elbow fractures, and the science of bone healing. He has been invited to present research at multiple, national orthopaedic events. Prior to training, he graduated from Ohio State University College of Medicine with honors in surgery.

Dr. Steen was raised in Boise, Idaho and later Hendersonville, Tennessee. He and his wife of nine years, Jen, are excited to become a part of the West Volusia community where they will raise their young son, Jace.

Dr. Steen is very attentive and always has time for me to ask questions.
Very nice doctor. Very thorough, did not rush. Explains everything in detail. doesn’t just look at your issues. he looks into why you have those issues. Very nice practice.
Dr. Steen and the team made me feel heard and I feel I received great information and medical advise. The treatment plan was clearly communicated and I am confident my issue will improve.
Makes an effort to talk to you and explain it all and was very polite that stock that we've ever had
Smart, professional, personable- the trifecta of medical care!
Great experience as a first timer. The staff and Dr. Steen were all very friendly and helpful. I especially loved how Dr. Steen really took his time to explain my conditions with me as well as my treatment options. I had a great visit and the doctor’s demeanor has really put me at ease so I highly recommend this clinic.
Very good and very informative doctor
He's pleasant, thorough, and answers any questions you may have. Doesn't rush but gets you in and out in a timely manner.
We’re very satisfied with Florida Orthopedic Associates. From the front desk to the nurses and of course Dr. Steen. Also the surgery coordinator and the surgery center.
The staff is amazing especially Nicole, she goes above and beyond to help the patients, I really appreciated all her help. Dr. Steen is awesome, he has a sense of humor which is hard to find in some doctors. It was a pleasure attending my appointments.
