Dr. Vaughn is a great orthopedic surgeon who performed a total knee replacement on my left knee.in late Jan. 2022. I was fortunate to have him as my surgeon and Liz as his PA who is also excellent. I had no problems and my recovery went smoothly.

Dr Vaughn was pleased with the knee cap being attached. He stated his concerns about the strength of the muscles around my knee as the reason for me using the brace for another 6 weeks and not bending the knee. He took plenty of time to make sure that I understood what he thought should be done over the next 6 weeks in regards to my strengthening my knee muscles and not bending the knee. He took his time to make sure all my questions and concerns were addressed.

Dr. Vaughn took the time to explain what was going on and why. He gave various treatment options, and candidly offered his experience regarding what works, what doesn’t, and what to look out for in the future. Dr. Vaughn, his team and I have an extensive ortho relationship history. They are the best that I have encountered with knowledge and protocol on hips and knees to get you back to baseline or as close to it as possible. I really don't like sharing how awesome Dr. Vaughn and his team is as it is challenging to get an appointment without a lengthy wait. I would prefer to keep this best secret to myself but it's too late. They are already internationally known for their impeccable care and service. My fear is when the time comes to search for a new ortho MD as Dr. Vaughn will one day decide to retire. I am grateful to the UNC ortho doc (remain nameless) that refused to accept me because I didn't fit his perfect patient protocol and to Dr. Alex Creighton for the referral to Dr. Bradley Vaughn.

He was very disrespectful to me and I wasted my money on gas and my time spent for him to speak to me the way he did, he spent all of 3-4 minutes in the room with me,if he does surgery on people and treats them like he did me why is he a doctor. Dr Vaughn is a busy man; he quickly went through my X-rays and told me my knee needs a replacement. He described the procedure and I was confident to move forward with a surgery date.

Dr.Baughn was friendly, calm, explained things well, took whatever time was needed, and told me my knees weren’t bad enough to get surgery! At the end, he did inject them with cortisone while an assistant squirted the injection site with a freezing, numbing solution that made the shots much more comfortable!

Exceptionally good result from my knee replacement surgery. Dr Vaughn and Liz did a wonderful job. I was walking without my walker in 4 days. After a month, no pain pills. After 2 months, only stiffness in the knee when I sit or stand for too long.
