Dr. Braden M Candela, M.D. obtained his Medical Degree at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. He then went on to complete both his internship and dermatology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Candela has a strong interest in general medical dermatology with a focus on bullous disorders, both autoimmune and inherited. His previous clinical experience has included running an epidermolysis bullosa (EB) specialty clinic where he managed patients with simplex, junctional and dystrophic EB. Dr. Candela is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology and has authored numerous publications and presented research at local and national conferences.

I’ve seen several dermatologists at this hospital over the years, and while they were all good, Dr. Candela is truly in a league of his own. He is the only physician who has been able to finally get my conditions under control. Beyond his obvious expertise, he is incredibly professional, honest, and takes your concerns seriously. He’s also remarkably responsive; anytime I’ve needed something, he’s been available to help. His staff is wonderful and makes the whole experience seamless. I am so grateful for his care and can’t recommend him highly enough.
