Dr. Brad Bruns is board-certified with the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and has been practicing orthopedics since 1985. After completing most of his undergraduate studies at The United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Dr. Bruns attended medical school at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. Dr. Bruns then completed his orthopedic training at the University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. With a special interest and expertise in total joint replacement, trauma, and sports medicine.
Dr. Bruns has served as the Chairman of the Department of Surgery at both John C. Lincoln North Mountain and Paradise Valley Hospitals and has been a member on the Board of Directors for OrthoArizona since its inception. He was the team physician for Cactus Shadows High School and has been the team physician for North Canyon High School since it was originally opened. He has volunteered as the covering physician for numerous sports including the AAA Oklahoma City 89ers baseball team, Phoenix Roadrunners hockey team, Arizona State Hockey Club, the Justin Sports Medicine team with the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, and the Chaparral High School Lacrosse club.
Dr. Bruns is a proud Arizona native, married and proud of his three grown children, all being college graduates. He has always been greatly involved with volunteer organizations where he can donate his Orthopedic skills both in the Phoenix area and abroad. He initially began with the Share the Dream organization, traveling to Trinidad, Bolivia; and now does most of his international medical volunteer work with the Arizona Dominican Medical Friends organization, having helped in the Dominican Republic for over 10 years. Dr. Bruns also does volunteer medical work in the Phoenix area with the Community Charity Surgery Services, St. Vincent DePaul, and Healing the Children organizations.
Dr. Bruns has been awarded the prestigious "Top Doc" title numerous times in the Phoenix Magazine publication of the same name. Dr Bruns has a great job my leg was hurting me my tendon or my muscle on my leg it’ll be OK it’ll work itself out I don’t know if that makes any sense but but anyways Dr. Braun is a great doctor
