Originally from the Stillwater area, Dr. Beckert is excited to return to community-based medicine close to home. After practicing in different parts of the country and working in a variety of healthcare settings, he appreciates the opportunity to care for patients in a community he knows and loves. He was drawn to Hudson Physicians because of its commitment to community-focused care and its support of providers as they deliver exceptional care.
Family Medicine appealed to Dr. Beckert because it allows him to care for people of all ages and at every stage of life. While urgent care and emergency medicine provide the opportunity to help patients during critical moments, he values the relationships that develop when patients feel heard, understood, and supported. For Dr. Beckert, one of the greatest compliments is when a patient asks if he can become their primary care physician. That level of trust reminds him why he chose medicine in the first place.
Outside of work, Dr. Beckert enjoys spending time with his two grandchildren. He also enjoys cycling, skiing, photography, traveling, and exploring new restaurants with his wife. One of his more unique accomplishments is that he personally completed all of the electrical wiring in two homes he and his wife built, and both passed inspection.
His approach to health is centered on moderation, movement, and mindfulness. He encourages people to stay active throughout the day, make thoughtful nutrition choices, and find healthy ways to manage stress. Dr. Beckert believes that investing time and energy into health allows people to make the most of the one life they have.
