Dr Hampton is exceptional. He is one of the rare finds in medicine. He brings skill, deep listening and insight and a deeply caring heart. Very rare these days. Highly skilled in surgery. I trusted him completely and thus no anesthesia.

Dr. Hampton was patient, thorough, and highly knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions completely. He also gave me written information at the end of my appointment that addressed some of my questions and concerns. I was impressed with his ability to communicate complex information in a way that is easy to understand.

Dr. Blake M. Hampton, M.D. is originally from South Florida, where he graduated as valedictorian of his high school. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in neurobiology with a minor in chemistry from the University of Miami, graduating magna cum laude. He received a full tuition academic scholarship to attend medical school at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He finished his internship year in internal medicine at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He then relocated to New York to complete his residency in ophthalmology at Nassau University Medical Center, where he served as chief resident during his last year of training.
Dr. Hampton is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Refractive and Cataract Surgeons, and the Refractive Surgery Alliance.
Dr. Hampton practices comprehensive ophthalmology with a particular interest in refractive cataract surgery.
Dr. Hampton recently moved to North Carolina to start a new chapter with his wife, Rhea, who is completing her residency training in otorhinolaryngology (ENT) at Duke University.
In his free time, Dr. Hampton enjoys nature trails, hiking, watching TV series and movies, traveling and spending time with his family and friends.
