Dr. Hampton is an awesome Dr. He is extremely knowledgeable, nice, and informative. I went to see him on a referral from my Neurologist. And he is now the only Opthalmologist I want to see.

I would rather the doctor not just come in and say do you have any questions. It should be said to the patient from the doctor (let me explain what we have going on here today with your eyes) then say do you have any questions. I couldn’t think of all of my questions at that time having not been seen by anyone in a few years. I do think he was thorough with my exam. I am just a person that needs compassion and discussion.

Dr. Blake M. Hampton, M.D. is originally from South Florida, where he graduated as valedictorian of his high school. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in neurobiology with a minor in chemistry from the University of Miami, graduating magna cum laude. He received a full tuition academic scholarship to attend medical school at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He finished his internship year in internal medicine at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He then relocated to New York to complete his residency in ophthalmology at Nassau University Medical Center, where he served as chief resident during his last year of training.
Dr. Hampton is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Refractive and Cataract Surgeons, and the Refractive Surgery Alliance.
Dr. Hampton practices comprehensive ophthalmology with a particular interest in refractive cataract surgery.
Dr. Hampton recently moved to North Carolina to start a new chapter with his wife, Rhea, who is completing her residency training in otorhinolaryngology (ENT) at Duke University.
In his free time, Dr. Hampton enjoys nature trails, hiking, watching TV series and movies, traveling and spending time with his family and friends.
