Dr. William Stephan is an interventional cardiologist at Midwest Cardiovascular Institute in Naperville.
Dr. Stephan earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biology and his Bachelor of Arts degree in theology at Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. He received his doctorate from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts.
His postgraduate training took place at the University of Michigan Hospitals in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he completed four years of internal medicine training including a year as Chief Medical Resident. He went on to complete a three-year fellowship in cardiovascular medicine and a one-year fellowship in cardiovascular nuclear imaging. He completed his training with a one-year advanced angioplasty fellowship at Mid-America Heart Institute at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.
Dr. Stephan is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. He is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular medicine, nuclear cardiology and interventional cardiology. He previously served as President of Edward Hospital Medical Staff.
