He saved the life of this 73 year old man who had a massive saddle pulmonary embolism in 2018 and his quick decision making and course of action not only saved my life, but got me back to "better than before" with his skills, encouragement and suggestions for rehab! Great cardiologist that in 2006 diagnosed my posterior descending heart artery with 99% pinched and the same day place a stint in the artery which basically prevented a massive heart attack. He’s been following my heart health ever since and I’m doing great. Definitely recommend Dr. Stephan.

Unlike the majority of Physicians I see, Dr Stephan puts down the computer, actually looks away from the computer and has a conversation with me in which he actually listens. The problem with Midwest Heart Institute though is that it is impossible to actually have all your concerns addressed in a 10 minute appointment. I realize this is not Dr Stevens issue but one of the practice policies. What happens then is that issues that were not able to be addressed continue for another 6 months to a year until I can get another 10 minutes at which time there will be additional issues and I still won't get everything addressed.
