Had difficulty with phone verification for appointment. My appointment was dropped for surgery schedule 1/12/2026 with an Eye Specialist. Was told be phone staff that I would have to reschedule for April. Dr. Blacketer squeezed me in and helped complete items needed for the pre surgery so surgery can move forward on 1/12/2026. I also was offered the latest COVID Vaccination that was recently released. I have been trying to reschedule this surgery for the past 2-3 years.

I'm not sure what the deal is with her, but every time I see her, she seems to feel the need to contradict me on one thing or another. The previous time she was commenting that I'm losing my hearing and was just lip reading her. Well, I don't know how to lip read. so how could that be?
Today she had mentioned about giving me a few vaccines, one of which was for Shingles. I told her 'no, stop right there because I'd never had chicken pox.'
To which she proceeded to contradict me by saying "You probably just had a mild case." I told her 'no, my mother had even told me several times that I'd never had chicken pox, measles, or mumps even though I'd been exposed to them by way of my older siblings."
But instead of her just saying 'yeah, ok.' She just kept contradicting me like I couldn't possibly know if I'd had chicken pox or not. I don't have even one scar. So...
Her attitude seems like "Ok, I'm a doctor and you're not, so you couldn't possibly know what you're talking about."
