Dr. Wang Ashraf received her M.D. at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1992, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society. After medical school, she trained in general surgery and plastic surgery at the world-renowned Johns Hopkins Hospital, followed by a fellowship in hand and micro-surgery at the Raymond Curtis National Hand Center in Baltimore, Maryland. At Artisan Plastic Surgery, Dr. Wang Ashraf specializes in cosmetic breast surgery, mommy makeovers, abdominoplasty and body contouring, as well as advanced options for breast reconstruction.
Prior to joining Artisan Plastic Surgery, Dr. Wang Ashraf took an academic position where she mentored and taught the residents in the Emory University plastic surgery residency program. Dr. Wang Ashraf has published numerous articles and book chapters on breast cancer reconstruction. Her work has been presented at national and international plastic surgery conferences.

I had such a positive experience at my consultation. From the very beginning, Dr. Wang was warm, kind, thorough, and incredibly easy to talk to. She took the time to walk me through every aspect of the procedures I’m considering, explaining the procedures in detail as well as what to expect before surgery, during recovery, and throughout the post-op process. What impressed me most was her bedside manner. I never felt rushed or like I was simply being walked through a standard consultation. She listened carefully, addressed my questions and concerns thoughtfully, and made sure I understood not only what could be done, but what would make the most sense for me and my goals. Considering surgery like this is a big decision, and I left my consultation feeling informed, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. Her combination of expertise, attention to detail, honesty, and compassion gave me a tremendous amount of confidence in moving forward. I’m so grateful for such a positive experience.
