Dr. Benjamin Young is a fellowship-trained and board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement. He was born and raised in Manhattan, Kansas and attended Kansas State University where he graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He then attended Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska before returning to Kansas for residency at the University of Kansas- Wichita.
He went on to complete fellowships at the University of Florida and Johns Hopkins including advanced training in hip and knee replacement.
He utilizes minimally invasive surgical techniques as well as hip replacement through the direct anterior approach. Dr. Young practices out of MAO’s West Wichita and Derby locations.
Dr. Young enjoys spending time with his wife and children as well as a variety of outdoor activities and watersports.

Dr. Is very thorough and approachable. He took time to explain everything I needed to know and made recommendations. I really appreciated the care he gave me.
So far…so good!
Saw him for pain relief of hip. Refused to give me a steroid injection (I've had two in a little over a year). Sending me to PT. Also prescribed an injectable cortisteroid to be used topically, which is not recommended.
Fibally was called in and saw the PA an hour after my scheduled appt. The doctor came in and was fine. I left almost an hour and a half after my appt. Evidently my time is not valuable. I was still charged a copay of $40. No explaination as to why they were late or what the hold up was.
Respect this Dr!
I love coming here . He is the best dr .I know
Dr Young is very polite and did a fantastic job on my knee replacement. I would highly recommend him.

Excellent doc and staff
Was ok, worries to much about how much people weigh. Basically told me that because I'm overweight I will not live to 80 yrs old.
