“The education and training I received has given me a solid foundation of excellent care upon which I continue to build. The most essential component of this care is communicating effectively with my patients. This allows me to educate them about their individual conditions and treatment options. This empowers the patient to make informed decisions.
"Patients often worry that seeing an orthopedic surgeon means they will have surgery. In reality, only a small percentage of patients I see require surgery. Along with my experienced colleagues, I am able to help the majority of people with numerous nonsurgical treatment modalities. Surgery is reserved as the last treatment option. With adherence to proven surgical indications, this conservative approach leads to improved outcomes for patients.
"Furthermore, I am committed to staying current with the latest, most effective treatment techniques in spinal care. Especially interesting are the tremendous technological advances that allow surgery to be done in a less invasive manner. My training has given me extensive experience with this, allowing me to perform many procedures in an outpatient setting.”

Ben is a solid individual who is properly calibrated for his profession. His unflinching commitment to getting me back to full duty was much appreciated. Couldn’t recommend enough.
Dr. Maclennan was caring, listened to concerns, and let me know he would help get rid of my pain to the best of his abilities. He never gave up and kept following up with me to resolve my issues. I will be seeing him in a few weeks to follow up from my back surgery and I am so grateful he has been so patient and diligent with my health issues.
He has always been nice and listens.
Very caring and explains issues. Maybe a little bit in a hurry, but good.
Super Doc
Professional and good communicatior
He apologized for a surgery that he couldn't do better. I was sent to him from one of your PAs who said my hip problems was the fault of my back. I told the PA it was hip issue and Dr. MacLennan agreed with me. Human anatomy has not changed since I had Gross 60 years ago, nor the symptoms.
Just met him and he made me very comfortable
Very good experience with Dr. MacLennan (as good as spinal fusion surgery can be)
Friendly, understanding, thoughtful, truthful, intelligent and concerned. He explained my condition and three choices for treatment. Then explained what surgery actually involved. My wife and I were very pleased and comfortable with the doctor’s game plan for my treatment.
