Returning to this region feels like home for Dr. Buterbaugh and his family. His wife grew up in Wilmington, and together they love the culture and community of Eastern Carolina. Outside of work, he is active in his church and enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children. Whether relaxing at home or cheering on a favorite team, he values time together and the chance to make memories as a family.

Professional , friendly , listens to my concerns. Gave me options for treatment . Concern with my discomfort I am having and willing to perform more treatments if need. . Little wait time for check in and waiting for physician to see me . More wait time fore X-rays , but staff member very pleasant and willing to assist if need. Certainly recommend orthopedic East a& Spirts Center .

I met Dr. Buterbaugh today as he completed a nerve study on my right arm. He explained every step of the procedure and carried out the process in a professional and reassuring manner.
He is good
Professional, personable, listen well, and provided understandable feedback. I have a positive attitude after speaking with The Doctor and listening to his feedback. I'm looking for my next visit/follow up. Thank you, Gerald Nottage 03/23/2026
Nice guy, reminds me of a secondary school teacher. Seems knowledgeable enough, needs to offer more constructive advice. Lacking in understanding patient symptoms, but as a specialist providing injections, he seems to rely on that for treating his parients.
On time appointment and professional staff
