Ben Zellner MD is currently seeing patients in Green Bay and Marinette.
Dr. Zellner was born in La Crosse, and while growing up in Waunakee, he often visited Northeastern Wisconsin with his family. He started his medical training at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and then traveled to Houston, Texas to complete his orthopedic surgery residency at Baylor College of Medicine. He returned to Wisconsin to complete his hand surgery fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin while caring for patients with hand to shoulder problems. Dr. Zellner has also traveled extensively throughout his training. He was an AO traveling fellow in Spain and completed medical mission work in India, Guatemala, Ecuador, and Colombia. These experiences have helped him to become fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Zellner is excited to provide orthopedic hand care in his home state, and he looks forward to opportunities to continue his medical mission work. He and his wife, who is a local family medicine physician, have two children. They enjoy spending time outdoors together, particularly hiking, biking, and cross country skiing.
There is nothing more gratifying than getting patients back to their activities; whether that is recreational sports, an occupation, hobbies, or activities of daily living. Our task is to counsel patients thoroughly on both the surgical and non-surgical options, allowing us to make a joint and informed decision on their care in order to get them back to their desired activity.
