Research at the University of Wisconsin included: “Assessment and characterization of peripheral TRPV1 and TRPM8 receptors in humans with quantitative sensory testing (QST) after application of capsaicin and Menthol” and “Exercise-induced hypoalgesia in healthy subjects using differing forms of anaerobic exercise”.
Recent research at CHARM has included evaluation and comparison of platelet growth factor concentrations utilizing various in vitro alpha-granule induction techniques. Dr. Rawson has applied this research to the clinical setting and has become a pioneer in epidural application of growth factors for discogenic and neuropathic conditions of the spine. He is currently a member of numerous local, regional and national medical societies.
