In my opinion, Dr Goins seemed to think my problem is viral. He did tell me to have the echocardiogram and nuclear stress test.

He treated me like a human instead of a number and I really appreciate that! I’ve had such terrible experiences at providers lately this was a breath of fresh air. Thank you for treating me with dignity and having a sense of humor to calm me down after having been through the wringer! Great experience!

Didn’t offer options besides go to the ER. Did not recommend additional tests or potential solutions besides maybe you have a virus??? I didn’t even have a cold or any cold flu symptoms. Who goes to a heart doctor if they even thought they had a cold?? I waited for over an hour in the room for him. He didn’t even say anything when he left. I had recent heart issues and felt like I was having complications, that is why I went to see him. Will definitely see someone else

Dr. Ben Goins, D.O. was born in Carrollton, GA, and graduated from high school in Columbus, GA. He attended the University of Georgia for his undergraduate degree and then went to Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine for Medical School. After completion of his training he served as a staff Cardiologist at Eglin Air Force Base, including 9 months as the theater Cardiologist for Operation Resolute Support in Afghanistan.
Dr. Goins has authored numerous lectures regarding cardiac irregularities and is board-certified in Cardiology and Internal Medicine. He is also a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. His interests include metabolic management, sports cardiology, and taking care of recreational athletes.
Dr. Goins is married to his wife, Angela, and they have 4 sons ages 11, 9, 7, 7. He enjoys water sports, exercise, and watching Georgia football.
