Dr. Omarbasha has been conducting Phase III clinical trials on behalf of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and for pharmaceutical companies investigating new anti-cancer drugs for the treatment of prostate and bladder cancer. He also participated in clinical trials for evaluation of new treatment for hypogonadism (low testosterone) and sexual health related studies. Dr. Omarbasha has been designated as a UroLift® Center of Excellence.
Dr. Omarbasha is a clinical Assistant Professor at the Department of Urology at SUNY Upstate Medical Center. He is involved in training residents and medical students. He is a member of The American Medical Association, The American Urological Association, The International College of Surgeons, The Sexual Medicine Society of North America, The New York State Medical Society, and The New York State Urological Society.
He has authored multiple publications and book chapters, and he lectures extensively in the areas of urological cancer and sexual dysfunction. He has been in practice since 1990.
