Barbara Garcia, MD

Dr. Barbara Garcia, M.D., is a primary care physician specializing in diabetes care, primary prevention, women’s health, and adolescent care. She has served patients at our Glendale clinic since joining the HealthyU Clinics team in 2022. Dr. Garcia also works part-time as a clinical faculty member for the University of Arizona College of Medicine, teaching medical students how to interview patients, perform physical exams, and develop their clinical and critical thinking skills.

Dr. Garcia graduated from The University of California, Los Angeles, in 1996 and completed residency training at St. Joseph’s Hospital, where she trained in the OB/GYN Department for two years before transferring to the Department of Family Medicine. She then worked in private practice in Maryvale for six years before joining the Abrazo Medical Group in 2016.

In her free time, Dr. Garcia enjoys spending time with her husband, their three sons, and the family dog. She also enjoys visiting family and friends back home in Southern California.
