He has been in practice in Greenville since 1991 and on medical staff at both Greenville Memorial and Saint Francis Hospitals. Dr. Merchant is Board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He currently serves as a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Greenville County Medical Society, South Carolina Gastroenterology Association, and South Carolina Medical Association. When he finds time away from patient care, teaching and continuing medical education, he enjoys vacations with his family and time spent with his two sons.

Wonderful Doctor he has been my husband’s and my Doctor for years had it not been for him I may have lost my husband to cancer I will always be thankful to him!!
