Dr. Avi Pandey is a board-certified ophthalmologist with a private practice in Fresh Meadows. He holds the academic title of Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. He also serves as Associate Director of Ophthalmology at NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens Hospital Center in Jamaica, New York, where he trains resident physicians in Northwell’s Ophthalmology Residency Program. In that role, he has received numerous teaching awards and has co-authored several retinal case reports published in ophthalmic literature.
Dr. Pandey received his medical degree from SUNY Stony Brook University and completed his internship in internal medicine and residency in ophthalmology at Long Island Jewish/Northwell Health. He then completed a preceptorship in medical retina with the first Chair of Ophthalmology at Long Island Jewish, David Rosen, MD. He is a Life Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American College of Surgeons and a member of the New York State Ophthalmological Society. His goal is to provide his patients with the best possible personalized care.
