Dr. Chen is an awesome Doctor. He really listens to my concerns. He explains everything he sees in my imaging and discusses next steps and treatment options. I’ve not had a Doctor who will apologize to his patients for their pain like Dr. Chen does. He is an awesome caring Doctor. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dr. Chen! I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a great Orthopedic hip Doctor.

Let down … no cross communication with Dr. Slayter on my case even though both parties aware of interactions of my issues. Wasn’t prepared for my appointment and was almost irked (running late?) that I WAS. 1st appointment canceled due to “work with another patient”, left me waiting in exam room for 30 minutes + on reschedule of that appointment. No communication with PT (prescribed by Slater, approved by Austin, but PT administered exercises without input from Austin possibly resulting in increased tissue damage). Unaware of PT options for soft tissue such as instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) to address bursa inflammation or a specialist who could work with me on golf swing analysis to determine swing changes to protect issues. I don’t think he is really a specialist for my issues and in the end said “all I can do for you is offer injections”… left me with the feeling that my case was of no interest to him if he wasn’t able to sell me on PRP shots.

Dr. Chen and his team are great! We feel very fortunate that he was the surgeon to take care of this. Thank you for the keepsake picture.
