She is one of my favorite doctors. She’s always patient with me even though I can be a handful sometimes and always is there for me to lend an ear. She is in my opinion, one of the best physicians in her field.

Dr. Ashley Gelinas was born in Massachusetts but raised in South Florida in the Miami area. She graduated from the University of Miami with her Bachelor’s in nursing. She began her healthcare career working as a nurse at the University of Miami Hospital for three years. During this period she worked nights and went to school during the day to get her required coursed to be able to go to medical school. She was admitted to the Ross University School of Medicine in Portsmouth, Dominica graduating with her MD degree in 2017. She did her family practice residency at the University of Arkansas Hospital in Jonesboro, AR, finishing up this year. While at UAMS she worked in both inpatient and outpatient locations gaining a wide range of practical medical experience. She came to JCMC directly from her residency.
When not at work, Dr. Gelinas enjoys watching live music, reading psychological thrillers, traveling with family, paddle boarding, and snow skiing.
