After graduation, she completed a fellowship in surgical co-management and corneal disease at an ophthalmology practice in St. Louis. She continued with the practice as a staff optometrist and played a significant role in founding and managing their dry eye center. Her areas of interest within optometry include specialty contact lenses, ocular disease, and glaucoma management.
Dr. Deese has been involved in mission work most of her life. While in optometry school, she had the opportunity to blend her two passions and attended a medical mission trip to Haiti. She is always thinking of her next trip and can’t wait to continue growing this segment of her life.
Dr. Deese is new to the Austin area, but looks forward to making it her forever home. In her free time she enjoys outdoor activities, traveling to see friends, and spending time with her family.
