Dr. Ashley Carter, M.D., a native of Chapin, SC, initially dreamed of becoming a ballerina, a passion she pursued for many summers in New York City. However, her love of working with children ultimately led her to her career as a pediatrician.
She earned her medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and completed her residency at the University of South Carolina / Palmetto Health in 2013.
Dr. Carter is board-certified and joined the SouthernMED Pediatrics team in 2013. She currently sees patients at the Clemson office, which opened in November 2020. She loves spending time with her husband, Jacob, two children, Brodie and Baylee, and their new lab puppy, Banks.
