Ashley B. Gonzalez, MD

At Pediatric Associates of Austin, Dr. Ashley Gonzalez sees children who live in Austin, TX and surrounding communities. She has been practicing medicine since 2003 and is an extremely qualified and welcomed addition to the practice.

Originally from a small town in Southwest Louisiana called Welsh, Dr. Gonzalez completed her medical training in Louisiana and in nearby Arkansas. Her training took her to the following academic and medical institutions:

McNeese State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree (1997)
Louisiana State University (LSU), where she earned a master’s degree (1999)
LSU in Shreveport, Louisiana, where she earned her medical degree (2003)
Arkansas Children’s Hospital, where she completed her residency in pediatrics (2006)


Following her residency, Dr. Gonzalez practiced clinically in Winter Haven, Florida for seven years. She came to join Pediatric Associates of Austin directly from her practice in Winter Haven in 2013.

Having grown up, educated, and trained outside of Texas, Dr. Gonzalez brings a unique perspective to the practice. She has already made valuable contributions to the team. Many children have benefited from her expert knowledge and specialized care. Dr. Gonzalez sees children as their primary care physician and assists with her colleagues’ patients when needed.

When she’s not seeing patients, Dr. Gonzalez spends time with her three boys. Although Dr. Gonzalez misses her “Cajun Country” roots and good food, music, and family, she is extremely happy with Austin, TX and her Pediatric Associates of Austin family. Dr. Gonzalez enjoys time with family, hiking, traveling, and gardening. When she has a chance, Dr. Gonzalez will also read a good book.
