Dr. Ashlee Taylor, a native of Honaker, Virginia, joined Eye Physicians of Southwest Virginia in 2021. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Art from the University of Virginia's College at Wise in 2016 and continued on to graduate with a Doctorate of Optometry degree from the Kentucky College of Optometry at the University of Pikeville in 2021. While there, she was awarded the Alcon Case Report Award as a 4th year student and received honors, in ocular disease, at several of her externships.
Dr. Taylor is a Student Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and licensed to practice in Virginia and Tennessee. She specializes in general optometry for adults and children, with special interest in geriatrics, dry eye, the treatment of ocular disease. Dr. Taylor primarily cares for patients in Eye Physicians' Clintwood and Bristol offices, with occasional appointments in the Abingdon location. In her free time, Dr. Taylor enjoys painting, drawing, photography, hiking, traveling, and enjoying time with friends and family.
Dr Taylor is very friendly and does a wonderful job with my vision needs. My recent visit was for an infection in my right eye. Dr Taylor examined my eye and was able to give me eye drops from samples given to her at no cost. I am a Veteran with no private health insurance, my visits are all worked back through the Veterans Community Care and this office accepts Veterans which is huge in my fixed income world. Thank you very much Dr Taylor for taking care of me.

Great work evaluating the specific needs and then communicating with me the mom . . . and, as a bonus, communicating with my kids! Highly recommend.
