Asha Varghese, M.D.

Dr. Asha Varghese did her Pediatric Residency Training at the University of Illinois Hospital (Chicago) after the completion of a year of research at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Varghese was born in India and did her Medical School training at the University of Kerala Medical College in Trivandrum. She moved to the US in 1998 and after completion of her Pediatric Residency training worked for a year at the University of Illinois Medical Center in the ER and Ambulatory Care Center. She enjoys teaching and feels that every visit is an opportunity to discuss the situation with the parents and help them understand the theory of disease and treatment. She really treasures the partnership that is formed between the parents and herself which in turn helps in the well-being of the children we serve. Her special interests are Infectious Diseases, Asthma and Allergy, and Childhood development. She lives in the Western suburbs with her husband, two boys, and daughter.
