A 1991 graduate of the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, he received his Doctor of Medicine from John Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1995, followed by an internship at John Hopkins’ Sinai Hospital through 1996. Dr. Aragon then completed his residency in general ophthalmology at University of Virginia Health Sciences Center in Charlottesville, Virginia, where he served as Chief Resident in 1998-1999.
In 1999-2000, Dr. Aragon completed a retina/vitreous fellowship in Miami, serving as Chief Resident at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. After establishing a private vitreoretinal surgical practice in Albuquerque, he joined the Panhandle Eye Group team in August of 2005.
