I am seeing doctor Thompkins under a workmams comp claim. I have been out of work for 8 weeks since receiving a cervical epidural. I do not feel better. He asked me at this follow-up appointment if I had been out of work. Yes!, I have been off because he gave me orders to not work for 6 weeks following the epidural follow up appointment. How am I supposed to feel that I am getting the proper treatment and proper diagnosis. I had 4 weeks of PT. I was able to get to 70 lbs. on the pulley weights. He sent me back to work with restrictions of no more then 40 lbs pulling or pushing. Tell me how that makes sense? I had PT done at your facility because I thought it would be great communication between the PT and the doctor. He wanted dry needling done. I had it done 2 times in a four week span. Why did I get assigned to a PTA after the first visit who doesn't do dry needling? I am so disappointed in my care at this facility. Not once have I felt listened to. Except Dr. Rao. She was great!

He was very thorough and really took the time to not on review and explain my X-ray and MRI images- but also sat with me to break down every detail of the reports and what it all meant.
He took the time to answer all of my questions and presented me with several options that were non surgical and made sure I understood what it all meant. He even used a model spine to explain what was happening with my back and how I could modify my own workouts to not only strengthen my back but to also prevent further damage and injury.

I like that he listens to what patients are saying and explains it in a way that my elderly dad can understand and not feel dismissed as “old”
