Dr. Trenga is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic hand and upper extremity surgeon. After completing his residency in orthopaedic surgery, Dr. Trenga pursued additional fellowship training in orthopaedic and plastic surgery to become an expert of the hand and upper extremity, including:
Joint replacement of the shoulder, elbow, and hand
Arthroscopic treatment of the shoulder, elbow, and wrist
Minimally invasive techniques for carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, and Dupuytren’s disease
Treatment of injured bones, tendons, ligaments, and nerves from the clavicle and shoulder to the fingertip
Treatment of adults, athletes, and children
Additionally with his orthopaedic training, Dr. Trenga treats fractures of the hip, leg, and ankle, and arthritic conditions of the hip and knee.

Using the latest technology and techniques, Dr. Trenga helps patients make the best decisions when it comes to their musculoskeletal health while minimizing cost and maximizing patient convenience.
Dr. Trenga utilizes advanced 3-D modeling to plan your shoulder replacement, customizing the plan to patients’ unique anatomy to optimize outcomes and recovery.
When possible, Dr. Trenga performs hand surgery, such as carpal tunnel and trigger finger release, entirely under local anesthesia (Wide-Awake Local Anesthesia with No Tourniquet – WALANT). WALANT allows patients to drive themselves to and from surgery, does not require preoperative fasting or withholding blood thinners, decreases the use of pain medication, and avoids an anesthesiologist bill.
Dr. Trenga has presented his research on hand, shoulder, and elbow surgery at national and regional conferences and has published peer-reviewed journal articles and textbook chapters. Dr. Trenga is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons.
In his free time, Dr. Trenga enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and two children.

Definitely recommend him to others, a great doctor. That actually listen and thinks of the patient first.
Dr Trenga was knowledgeable, listened carefully to all my symptoms, and took the time to explain exactly what was happening with my median nerve. Rather than jumping straight to surgery he clearly laid out my options—including bracing, steroid injections and surgery. He didn’t pressure me to make a choice but has allowed me to consider the options. I recommend making an appointment with him. to allow me to consider which option I willI felt completely heard and never rushed.
Super easy to get an appointment and everyone was so nice in the office. Dr. Trenga listened to me a came up with a care plan that fits into my lifestyle. Looking forward to this new relationship.
We had a very thorough discussion of my condition. It was nice not to feel rushed or squeezed in between appointments like many doctors do.
I felt comfortable explaining my health issues with my fractured wrist and thumb post a car accident. I still had some pain but Dr. Trenga took care of that. I am glad that this appointment was victorious! 🙌🏾

Dr. Anthony Trenga and his entire staff provided an outstanding experience. Good medical offices have competence and confidence, but truly great ones also have warmth and kindness — and this office had both. Melissa was incredibly welcoming, and caring, and Marquita was calm, delightful, and so kind while helping coordinate my follow-up appointment and physical therapy. Every person I encountered treated me with genuine respect and compassion. It is rare to find an office where you feel so comfortable and so well cared for from beginning to end. Compassionate care like this truly deserves to be recognized and appreciated.
