He went on to complete his medical degree at the University of California, Irvine College of Medicine in Irvine, CA. Dr. Madrid completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of New Mexico, VA Medical Center in Albuquerque, NM, and finished his fellowship in Gastroenterology from the same school.
Dr. Madrid has won many awards and honors including Honors in Surgery from the University of California and the UCI College of Medicine Service Award.

Very professional and made me feel comfortable with the procedure I had.
Great Doctor with a great team and staff. It took longer to fill out and go through the paperwork than it did to do the procedure. A knowledgeable and friendly group that doesn't mess around. They are all about doing what needs to be done and making the patient feel like they are in their own home! Thank you Dr. Madrid and all other members of the team! You were all great and don't take this the wrong way... but I hope I don't need to see you all again for another 6 years! 😁👍
