He completed his internship at Grasslands Hospital in Valhalla, NY, followed by his residencies at Wills Eye Hospital & Associated Eye Residencies of New Jersey at New Jersey College of Medicine & Dentistry. Dr. D’Amato served at the Academy of Health Science’s for the US Army & was honorably discharged with a Captain’s Rank. Dr. D’Amato served as Chief of Ophthalmology at Columbus Hospital in Newark, NJ. He was an assistant clinical professor in ophthalmology at New Jersey Medical School.
