He completed his internship at Grasslands Hospital in Valhalla, NY, followed by his residencies at Wills Eye Hospital & Associated Eye Residencies of New Jersey at New Jersey College of Medicine & Dentistry. Dr. D’Amato served at the Academy of Health Science’s for the US Army & was honorably discharged with a Captain’s Rank. Dr. D’Amato served as Chief of Ophthalmology at Columbus Hospital in Newark, NJ. He was an assistant clinical professor in ophthalmology at New Jersey Medical School. At the present time Dr. D’Amato is affiliated with Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ as well as St. Clare’s Hospital in both Dover & Denville, NJ.

We trust his expertise as an Opthomologist and he genuinely demonstrates care during visits. He is great explaining what he is checking for and answers questions with your concerns.
