Dr. Dorsey is great! He seems to care and clearly wants your input about your welfare. You have to wait too long to see him. That is the only complaint I have.

Dr Dorsey is wonderful he's been my doctor for 20 years and he treated my mother as well and he is just fantastic he listens he understands what's going on when you explain things to him and he tries to make you feel comfortable and relax and try to treat you as the human being that you are and that is so wonderful and I thank him so much

Dr. Dorsey is on it. My only rub is waiting time. Appt. at 10:45 and was at office til almost 1pm. I understand understaffing but scheduling should be adjusted accordingly.

Dr. Anthony C. Dorsey, M.D., FACC, was raised in Severn, MD. Dr. Dorsey subsequently graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Morehouse College. For his academic achievement, he was also inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He went on to medical school at the University of Connecticut. He completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD. There he served as Chief Resident prior to beginning his cardiovascular training. For his fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases, he trained at the Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. During his last year of training, he served as Chief Fellow. After several years of developing his practice in Atlanta, he joined Atlanta Heart Specialists in 2008.
Dr. Dorsey holds board certifications in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, Nuclear Cardiology and Echocardiography.
During his career, he has extended his time to the community. He provided community health services to a homeless shelter in Hartford, CT. He has also been involved in speaking at churches and schools in the surrounding Hartford, CT and Atlanta GA areas.
Dr. Dorsey performs cardiac catheterization, transesophageal echocardiography, nuclear stress testing and consultations.
His clinical interests include primary and secondary prevention of ischemic heart disease and management of congestive heart failure.
Dr. Dorsey also practices sports cardiology where he can perform pre-participation physical exam and evaluation for local students who participate in competitive sports at the high school/college level and even community leagues. He can see students ranging from 14 years old and up.
He personally enjoys family life, fishing, driving and participating in and spectating sports.
